It is no secret that "faith" is a key ingredient in an answered prayer.

But it is also important to remember that it’s not just enough for us to have faith in God, but God also has to have faith in us.

Suppose someone goes to a bank and says, “I really trust your bank. You’ve been in business for so many years and you’re performing so well in the market and rank no. 1 in customer satisfaction... So why don’t you give me a loan for $100,000?” What would be the Bank’s response?

The important question in receiving a loan is not if you have faith in the Bank, but if the Bank has faith in you.

The person who prays should have faith in God, of course, but he also should be "faithful" to God. If God cannot trust us enough to give us what He has planned for us, the answer to our prayers may never be materialized.
